THE LOS ANGELES PAGEANTRY CONTEST
Eligibility:

Contestants must be [age limit, e.g., 18 or older] on the date of the pageant.

All contestants must reside in or have a connection to Los Angeles County or it's neighboring counties (Ventura, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside).

Contestants must complete an official application form and submit required fees by the deadline.

Prior participation in other pageants may be disclosed if required, and any titles held must be relinquished before competing in this pageant (if applicable).

Behavior and Conduct:

Contestants are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times. Respect for other contestants, judges, staff, and the audience is required.

Any behavior deemed unprofessional, disruptive, or harmful may result in disqualification.

Contestants may not consume alcohol, illegal substances, or smoke in any official pageant event areas.

Judging Criteria:

Contestants will be judged on various aspects including but not limited to:

Evening Wear
-
Swimwear/Fitness Wear
-
Talent (if applicable)
-
Interview or Public Speaking
-
Overall Presentation and Poise
-

Scores will be tabulated by an impartial panel of judges, and their decisions are final.

In the event of a tie, the highest score in the Interview or Public Speaking category will be used as the tiebreaker.

Wardrobe and Presentation:

Contestants are responsible for their own attire, makeup, and grooming.

Outfits should be tasteful and appropriate for each round. No see-through clothing or overly revealing attire will be allowed.

The organizers reserve the right to disqualify contestants for wardrobe violations or offensive presentations.

Attendance and Punctuality:

Contestants must be present and punctual for all rehearsals, interviews, and rounds of competition.

Lateness or absence from any event or rehearsal may result in disqualification.

Photography and Media:

By entering the competition, contestants agree to allow the pageant organizers to use their images, names, and likeness for promotional purposes.

Personal photography or filming may only be conducted in designated areas.

Health and Safety:

Contestants must be in good physical and mental health to participate.

Any pre-existing health conditions must be disclosed to organizers, and contestants must have personal insurance coverage.

Contestants are required to adhere to any health and safety protocols established by the event organizers.

Code of Ethics:

Contestants agree to uphold the integrity of the pageant and avoid any behavior that may bring disrepute to the event or its sponsors.

Any form of bribery, misconduct, or manipulation of judges will lead to immediate disqualification.

Prizes and Titles:
-
The winner will hold the pageant title of "Miss Los Angeles Fashion Week", also known as, "Miss LAFW" for 2025 and will represent the pageant in all official capacities.

Prizes awarded are non-transferable and may not be exchanged.

If the winner is unable to fulfill their duties, the title and responsibilities will pass to the first runner-up. If the first runner-up also happens not to fulfill their duties, the title and responsibilities will pass on to the next runner up and so forth.

As a part of our commitment to uphold the integrity and reputation of the pageant, all contestants are required to undergo an official background check. This background check will be conducted by a trusted third-party agency to verify information provided in the application, assess eligibility, and ensure compliance with our standards of conduct. By entering this competition, each contestant consents to the background check process and agrees to provide any additional information or documentation as needed to complete this verification. Any findings that reveal inconsistencies, legal issues, or breaches of our code of conduct may result in disqualification from the competition at the sole discretion of the pageant organizers. All information gathered will be kept confidential and used strictly for the purpose of determining eligibility and maintaining a fair, safe competition environment.
